The president is still against superpacts. But, in an election, all cadidates must follow the same rules. How unfair it would be if Republicans could have Superpacts but Democrats couldn't. Candidates follow what the rules ARE, not what they wish the rules were.  View

Racist... but true facts....but racist Tho. Democrats in Michigan are not to blame its just one state and had worse unemployment way before 2007_8 e-collapse so i doubt this add was directed at them. I see it as mocking the american people for being so stupid. I have the right to my point of view others are free to theirs.  View

Truck it? That makes even less sense than canceling the project. Obama is horrible. Democrats like high energy prices. There is no question about it. What have they ever do make us energy independent? I know, they throw gobs of money at companies that fail shortly after receiving federal (Taxpayer) funds. Liberals are.destroying what's left of our economy.  View

If you are unhappy with high energy prices you can thank Democrats for opposing virtually all domestic energy production.  View

Republicans block everything and anything they don't like, and for once Obama has a way around them and takes it. They are wrong on this issue, wrong to be blocking this appointment (which they are only blocking as an improvised way to prevent the executive branch from actually being able enforce the law). Their argument is basically the same old debate as you have over other consumer protection regulatory agencies like the FDA and EPA. It's just an ideological and ridiculously distorted view that these agencies just get in the way or do more harm than good. But that's not even close to the reality. Where are the reasonable reality-based republican voices? I guess they're blue dog democrats now, since they can't make it as a republican as they get cast aside when they fail the increasingly ridiculous republican purity tests...  View

Never had a doubt that the democrats would cave in. The uber-rich win yet again. This is way beyond getting old.  View

Republicans don't have the backing of the public majority on this issue, but they don't seem to care about that. And why should they, since the spin and election talking points will be the same ideological generalizations as they always are. The payroll tax holiday is extremely important, but unfortunately only the democrats seem to agree. So what incentive do the republicans have to compromise? They have the gun to the head of the economy and they don't even know it. So of course dems are going to be the ones to give in, because they are the only ones that think the gun isn't just a harmless toy.  View

Obama and the democrats should be a shame for there comments and beliefs. We dispretely need the pipeline from the oil sands in Canada. We need the oil the pipeline can provide which well make us less dependent on oversees countries and the pipeline will provide ten thousand plus long term good paying jobs for Americans. The leaders of this country would be insane for not approving this project. To be more energy efficient we have to increase all sources of energy i.e. coal, oil, natural gas, hydrogen, solar and wind power. To rely on one energy source would only be suicide for the future of our country and lead to higher prices for fuels and products if we don't increase all of our fuel sources.  View

The American political system is so obviously broken. It makes no sense to have a president from one party, and a house majority from another. Naturally, all they do is try to block each other's legislation. Effectively Obama's presidency only lasted for the first two years, while the Democrats held the house majority.  View

If they want to be taxed more why don't they just give more. Why do they need a tax law to pay Uncle Sam more? That goes for democrats as well.  View
